Since 1982, when Transun started life as a small travel
operator with big ideas, the company has evolved, becoming increasingly
sophisticated and revolutionising the concept of foreign travel.
Transun has always had an almost obsessive desire to

over the years this has resulted in Transun introducing a number of

of “firsts” for Transun.
For example, Transun was the first travel agent in the 1980s to
give customers the opportunity to fly on a day break from Aberdeen airport, or
to take a flight from Norwich to New York. In the 90's, Transun unveiled
their signature short breaks, which signalled a radical departure from the
usual insipid, sterile trips abroad that most people were used to.
Transun was one of the first operators to appreciate and
adventure the potential of Croatia as a holiday destination in the 1980s. It
also realised that a number of beautiful and unspoilt regions around the world
had been ignored in favour of clichéd resorts and vulgar tourist traps. Seizing
the chance to make a real difference to travellers who were craving adventure
and an escape from the ordinary and the prosaic, Transun made it their mission
to showcase the most remarkable places on the planet.
Transun has grown and diversified over the years and now
offers spectacular trips to Thailand, Lapland, Greenland, Iceland, Croatia as
well as number of destinations in the Arctic Circle.
In addition to featuring interesting and exceptional locations to
visit, Transun also promote their own series of scintillating
experiences and events. These customisable experiences incorporate themes of

Christmas in Lapland).
